VinFast Unveils Electric Buses EB 8 & EB 12, Targets Europe

Vietnamese automaker VinFast has made a significant stride into the European market with the unveiling of two new electric bus models, EB 8 and EB 12, at Busworld Europe 2025. The company plans to establish a distribution network across several European regions through strategic partnerships.

The EB 12, a low-floor, three-door city bus designed for high-capacity urban transport, will be produced at VinFast's factory in Vietnam with an annual capacity of 1,500 to 2,000 units. It boasts an impressive range of over 400 km per charge and is already certified under UNECE and CE regulations, making it available for order in Europe.

The EB 8, designed for urban routes with narrow streets and heavy traffic, offers a range of more than 290 km on a single charge. Both models come with an unlimited mileage warranty covering five years for the vehicle and up to eight years for the high-voltage battery and anti-corrosion protection.

VinFast aims to target Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Baltic states for its European launch. Commercial operations of both models are scheduled to begin in 2026, with the EB 8 following the EB 12 in availability.

VinFast's entry into the European market with its electric bus models EB 8 and EB 12 signals a significant step towards sustainable urban transportation. With a robust warranty and impressive range, these buses are poised to make an impact in the region.
