Vega Chargers Brings 600kW DC Charging to Latin America
Spanish company Vega Chargers is set to introduce its High Power Charging Constellation in Latin America. This direct current charger, with an external power unit of 600 kilowatts and dynamic balancing, aims to meet the region's growing demand for electric vehicle charging points.
Vega Chargers, having successfully expanded across Europe, now targets key markets in Latin America, including Mexico, Colombia, Chile, the Dominican Republic, Peru, Argentina, and Brazil. The company argues that standardization regulations for connectors are needed to facilitate electric vehicle adoption in the region.
The High Power Charging Constellation dynamically supplies energy to different charging points, ensuring faster and more efficient charging. Vega Chargers anticipates a rush of demand for direct current chargers due to Latin America's geography. The first two stations are expected to be available in Spain by June, offering customers a chance to experience the cutting-edge technology.
Vega Chargers is interested in strategic alliances with charging point operators, energy companies, and businesses with opportunistic charging objectives for its new charger model, designed mainly for electric service stations with roaming charging points. The first charging points in Latin America are expected to be inaugurated by the end of the year, following Vega Chargers' official presentation at the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona at the end of February.
Vega Chargers' High Power Charging Constellation is poised to revolutionize electric vehicle charging in Latin America. With its dynamic balancing and efficient charging capabilities, the constellation is set to meet the region's growing demand for charging points. The company's strategic alliances and planned inaugurations indicate a promising future for electric vehicle charging infrastructure in Latin America.
