Upcoming Pixel Buds 2 details unveiled two weeks prior to anticipated release

According to various leaks and reports, the Pixel Buds 2a is set to include Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), a feature that was missing in the original budget earbuds. Leaked renders show new cutouts on the earbuds, similar to those on the Pixel Buds Pro 2, which house microphones for ANC functionality. This design change suggests that Google is finally bringing ANC to the more affordable Pixel Buds 2a model.
While the original Pixel Buds A-Series used Adaptive Sound, ANC blocks noise instead of simply adjusting volume based on surroundings. This upgrade could provide a significant improvement for music in noisy environments.
The Pixel Buds 2a might also boast a longer battery life compared to the original budget earbuds. Interestingly, the insides of the Pixel Buds 2a's case may feature a splash of colour to match the buds placed in them, adding a touch of style to the device.
In addition to the Pixel Buds 2a, Google is expected to unveil the Pixel Buds Pro 2 during the same event. The Pro 2 model is rumoured to come in two new colorways: Moonstone and Sterling. Leaks also suggest that the Pixel Buds 2a will be available in other colours such as Strawberry, Fog Light, and Hazel. Officially leaked renders of the Pixel Buds 2a have also been revealed in a new colourway, Iris.
It's important to note that all features in leaks might not make it to the final product. However, the consistency in leaks and analysis points towards the Pixel Buds 2a including Active Noise Cancellation as a new feature, marking an upgrade over the original A-Series earbuds.
