Upcoming Apple iPhone 18 Pro rumors suggest a transparent back design, the introduction of a powerful A20 Pro chip, and other potential advancements detailed below.
The tech world is abuzz with rumours about Apple's upcoming iPhone 15 Pro series, which is expected to celebrate the company's 20th anniversary in a big way.
According to reports from reliable sources like MacRumors and Chat Station, the iPhone 15 Pro series may undergo some significant changes compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 14 Pro.
One of the most intriguing changes could be the design. While the iPhone 15 Pro is rumoured to maintain a similar look to its predecessor, with a new rectangular camera island and a triple camera setup, it may also go all-glass for a sleeker, more premium feel.
The display size for the iPhone 15 Pro Max is expected to be a 6.9-inch Super Retina display, a slight increase from the 6.7-inch display of the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Interestingly, the display size for the standard iPhone 15 Pro is expected to remain the same, with a 6.3-inch Super Retina display.
In terms of hardware, the iPhone 15 Pro is rumoured to debut with an A17 Pro chip, built on TSMC's 2nm process. This is a significant upgrade over the A16 Bionic chip used in the iPhone 14 Pro series. The A17 Pro chip is expected to improve power consumption, transmission speed, and performance over previous models.
The iPhone 15 Pro may also include the company's in-house C2 modem for improved performance. Additionally, a stainless steel vapor cooling chamber could be an upgrade over the laser welded chamber used in the iPhone 14 Pro models.
However, one feature that is not expected to debut in the iPhone 15 Pro series next year is the under-display Face ID. The series may instead feature a smaller Dynamic Island, a feature that was introduced with the iPhone 14 Pro series.
The iPhone 15 Pro series is rumoured to be unveiled online, with a potential release date not specified. The launch of the iPhone 15 Pro series is potentially a year away.
While these are just rumours at this point, they certainly paint an exciting picture for Apple's 20th anniversary iPhone lineup. As always, we'll keep you updated as more information becomes available.
