Unveiled: Samsung's Fresh Galaxy Gear - Witness the Official Unboxing Videos Right Away
Samsung has made a splash at its latest Galaxy Unpacked event, revealing the highly anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Watch 8. The event, held on July 9, showcased a series of exciting new features and improvements across these flagship devices.
Let's dive into the details of each device.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 boasts an impressive 8-inch inner display, a significant increase from its 7.6-inch predecessor. The outer display has also been upgraded to 6.5-inches, offering a more immersive user experience. Both displays feature high-resolution AMOLED panels and adaptive refresh rates of up to 120Hz, ensuring smooth and vibrant visuals.
In terms of camera, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is equipped with a 200MP main sensor, accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide, 12MP selfie, and a 10MP telephoto lens (in x3 telephoto variants).
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is not only a powerhouse in terms of display and photography but also in terms of design. It is the thinnest Z Fold yet, measuring just 4.2mm unfolded and 8.9mm closed. The device weighs approximately 216 grams and comes in three stylish colours: Blue shadow, Jet black, and Silver shadow.
Moving on to the Galaxy Z Flip 7, this device sports a larger inner display at 6.9-inches compared to the previous version. The cover display has also been upgraded to a larger FlexWindow at 4.1-inches, offering improved usability. The device is powered by the Exynos 2500 chipset (standard Flip 7) or the Snapdragon 8 Elite (Flip 7 FE variant). The device offers up to 12GB of RAM and comes in four colour options: Blue shadow, Jet black, Silver shadow, and black and white (only available via Samsung's website).
Samsung also unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, a more compact, slightly less powerful, and less expensive variant of the Galaxy Z Flip 7. The FE variant offers a 4,300mAh battery, up to 512GB of storage, and a 50MP main camera.
Lastly, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic. Both watches feature a new "cushion" design with a square base and rounded edges for greater comfort. The Galaxy Watch 8 comes in stylish graphite and silver finishes, while the Classic edition offers black and white options, and the iconic rotating bezel makes a comeback in the Classic model.
Both watches feature Super AMOLED displays protected by sapphire glass and offer a peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits. They are powered by the Exynos W1000 processor and come with 2GB of RAM and up to 64GB of storage (Classic edition).
The watches are packed with health and AI features, including sleep coaching, vascular load monitoring, Running Coach, antioxidant index, AGEs tracking, guided meditation, Galaxy AI for contextual summaries, and hands-free voice assistance. They are also certified 5 ATM, IP68, and MIL-STD-810H, ensuring durability. They support LTE, Bluetooth 5.3, dual-band GPS, and NFC.
Both the unboxing video for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 are now available, offering a closer look at these exciting devices. The Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and the new Flip 7 FE will be available from July 25, 2025, with the Flip 7 starting at $1,099.99 and the Flip 7 FE at $899.99. The Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic will also be available from July 25, 2025.
