Uninsured E-Scooter Involved in Child Injury Accident in Meinerzhagen
A 10-year-old child riding an e-scooter was injured in a collision with a car in Meinerzhagen. The e-scooter was uninsured at the time of the accident. The child, along with a 12-year-old girl, was traveling on the sidewalk when the incident occurred.
The e-scooter suddenly veered onto the road and collided with a Ford Fiesta driven by a 67-year-old. The impact caused approximately 1,000 euros worth of damage to the car. The 10-year-old rider was slightly injured and was promptly taken to the Lüdenscheid Clinic by ambulance. The local police department, either the Meinerzhagen police or the relevant district police authority, is investigating the incident.
The e-scooter involved in the accident was not insured, which could potentially lead to financial implications for those involved. The police are currently investigating the incident to determine the cause and assign responsibility.
