Tommy Hilfiger & Greg Lauren Team Up for Archive-Inspired Capsule Collection
Tommy Hilfiger has collaborated with Greg Lauren to launch a 19-piece capsule collection that reimagines classic prep styles. The collection, available exclusively at select high-end retailers, is part of a trend where brands delve into their archives to refresh heritage looks.
The collaboration, created in Greg Lauren's Los Angeles studio with Tommy Hilfiger's design team, features deconstructed and reconstructed pieces. A standout item is the Alaska puffer jacket, reworked using leftover denim and surplus material. Other unique pieces include wide leg cargo pants crafted from slim fit chinos and trucker jackets made from multiple pairs of jeans. Notably, the collection's hoodie is a patchwork of 19 old and new pieces, designed by Greg Lauren himself.
This isn't the first time Tommy Hilfiger has looked to its past for inspiration. Following the success of its archive-inspired collections, the brand saw a 4% increase in North American revenue for its parent company, PVH Corp., in Q2 2023. Gap and Rich & Sporty have also recently collaborated with other brands to create capsule collections inspired by their own archives.
The Tommy Hilfiger x Greg Lauren capsule collection is now available at Mr Porter, Bergdorf Goodman, and Joyce. By combining Greg Lauren's creative vision with Tommy Hilfiger's iconic prep styles, the collection offers a fresh take on heritage fashion, proving that brands can successfully tap into their past to drive contemporary appeal.
