Tesla Offers Pre-Tariff Priced Model Y Vehicles in Canada

Amidst the escalating tariff war, Tesla is encouraging consumers to act quickly and secure vehicles at older, lower prices. The electric vehicle manufacturer has restored the price of the Model Y to below pre-tariff levels in Canada, achieving this by pivoting supply to Giga Berlin in Germany to bypass the 25% U.S. import tariff imposed in March 2025.

The Model Y, now priced at CAD 64,990, represents a significant saving of approximately CAD 20,000 from the post-tariff peak. This strategic move by Tesla aims to maintain competitiveness amid high tariff rates and the elimination of Canadian EV subsidies.

For those interested in purchasing these pre-tariff priced vehicles, it's important to note that delivery timelines in Canada are around September–October 2025, longer than previous U.S.-sourced deliveries due to trans-Atlantic shipping.

Tesla is also offering limited-time promotions on certain vehicles imported prior to recent tariff changes, providing buyers with the opportunity to access pre-tariff pricing alongside perks like free Full Self-Driving trials. Leasing incentives and federal EV incentives apply, but they are time-limited, generally expiring by the end of Q3 2025 for certain models.

Given the strong demand rebound after the price cut and constrained supply logistics, it is advisable to act quickly by ordering directly from Tesla’s Canadian website or contacting local Tesla stores to lock in these prices and expected delivery slots.

In essence, pre-tariff priced Model Ys are available now in Canada but with limited stock and delivery slots running into late 2025. Buyers should place orders promptly and inquire about ongoing promotional incentives to secure these favorable prices before inventory is exhausted.
