Tesla Boosts Model 3 & Y Range, Adds Safety Features Without Price Hike
Tesla has introduced several updates for its Model 3 and Model Y, including improved range and new features, with no price increase. The electric vehicle manufacturer has also announced a battery upgrade for European models.
The most notable change is the enhanced range for various versions of the Model 3 and Model Y. The 'Long Range All-Wheel Drive' Model 3 now offers up to 716 kilometers on a single charge, as per the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP). Meanwhile, the 'Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive' Model 3 boasts an impressive 750 kilometers. The Model Y 'Long Range All-Wheel Drive' version can now travel up to 629 kilometers on a single charge.
Tesla has also added a front camera to both the Model 3 and Model Y, providing an extra layer of safety. Additionally, the company has reinstated the turn signal lever on the steering wheel of the Model 3, replacing the previous touch-sensitive controls. The company supplying the reintroduced signal stalk is Littelfuse.
These updates, including the battery upgrade and new features, come at no additional cost to customers. Tesla has officially announced these changes for European models, further cementing its commitment to improving the range and safety of its electric vehicles.
