Tesla Boosts Model 3 Range in Australia: New Long Range AWD and Performance Variants
Tesla has expanded its Australian lineup with the launch of the Model 3 2026 Long Range RWD, boasting an impressive range of 750 km on a single charge. The new Long Range AWD variant is now available for pre-order, with first deliveries slated for November.
The Long Range AWD variant starts at $61,990 before on-roads, offering multiple colour and wheel options. It joins the lineup with a significant range boost, thanks to its 84 kWh NMC battery. This battery provides 230 km more range than the entry-level RWD and 121 km more than the Long Range AWD variant. Even with larger 19-inch Nova wheels, the range remains class-leading at 691 km.
The high-performance Model 3 Performance variant has also received an upgrade. Its range has increased by 8% to 571 km, while maintaining its price of $80,990 before on-roads. Both the new Long Range AWD and Performance variants deliver up to 343 kW of power, accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds, and reach a top speed of 261 km/h. Orders for these models open today, with test drives available in late October.
