Streamlined Discovery of Media Created via Google's Gemini Platform
In a recent development, Android Authority has uncovered evidence of a new feature being tested by Google - a "Created by You" hub in Gemini. This hub is designed to collect and organise all the images, videos, code, documents, and Deep Research logs that a user generates.
The hub, which is similar to ChatGPT's Library, aims to simplify the process of finding generated images, documents, or research summaries without the need to scroll through a messy chat log. It is a significant improvement, providing an all-in-one solution for tracking down a single image or document without wading through endless chats.
Android Authority's teardown of Google app beta 16.35.63 revealed this development. The "Created by You" hub, currently under refinement for better organisation, can be found in Gemini's hamburger menu, where the "My Stuff" shortcut has been renamed to "Created by You".
Tapping any item in the "Created by You" hub jumps the user to the original chat where it was created. However, it's important to note that this feature is not yet officially available to the public, and it remains unclear when it'll roll out.
Previous deep dives into the Google app last month by Android Authority spotted early mentions of a "My Stuff" section in Gemini. Now, a button for this section has shown up, but the page behind it isn't working yet.
This dedicated hub would collect everything a user has made, including images, videos, code, and documents, in one place. It's designed to save users from scrolling through endless chat histories, making it easier to manage and find their generated content.
There is no word on when (or even if) the hub will be released to the public. Google is working on this new section in Gemini, and as more information becomes available, we'll be sure to keep you updated.
