The marketing landscape is about to see a significant shake-up with the appointment of John Kahan as Stagwell's first-ever Chief AI Officer. With a whopping 40 years of experience under his belt, Kahan is all set to revolutionize the company's global operations, particularly focusing on AI-driven marketing solutions like the Stagwell Marketing Cloud.
Kahan, a seasoned pro in data and artificial intelligence, has a stacked resume that includes gigs at tech titans like Microsoft and IBM. At Microsoft, he served as vice president and chief data analytics officer, playing a pivotal role in developing data platforms and AI initiatives under both Steve Ballmer and Satya Nadella. His work extended to spearheading AI for Good initiatives, where he collaborated with leading data scientists to tackle pressing global issues such as the COVID crisis and AI for health, humanitarian action, cultural heritage, and sustainability.
Before that, Kahan held key roles at IBM, including vice president of integrated marketing communications and architect and CTO of the IBM Software Group's Enterprise Integration division. He was also a certified consultant and an active member of the IBM Academy of Technology.
In his new role at Stagwell, Kahan will be responsible for overseeing AI integration across the company, working alongside CEO Mark Penn to develop AI-driven marketing solutions like the Stagwell Marketing Cloud.
