Sopra Steria appoints Selke as the new chief for Marketing, Corporate Affairs, and Ventures in Germany and Austria.
Sopra Steria Germany has announced a significant change in leadership, with Darius Selke taking over as the Head of Marketing, Corporate Affairs, and Ventures. This marks the first strategic unification of these departments in the company's history.
Effective May 1, Selke will oversee brand management, communication, and innovation partnerships, a role that encompasses the management of the company's image, strategic collaborations, and client relationships.
Selke's appointment follows the departure of Birgit Eckmüller, who left the company after over 25 years of service for personal reasons.
Before joining Sopra Steria, Selke worked at the international management consulting firm Porsche Consulting. His career with Sopra Steria began in 2024, when he was appointed as the Head of Sopra Steria Ventures Germany.
In this role, Selke was responsible for the company's innovation and partnership strategy, and he was instrumental in building the venture-clienting unit. His success in this role led to his current promotion.
Prior to his tenure at Sopra Steria Ventures Germany, Selke served as Partner Manager for the German AI startup Aleph Alpha. Here, he was involved in the venture business development and strategic setup of an innovation ecosystem for the European GovTech market.
Selke's new role also involves the management of innovation partnerships, further underscoring the company's commitment to fostering strategic collaborations and driving innovation.
The departments of marketing, corporate affairs, and ventures are now united under a strategic umbrella in Selke's new role, reflecting the company's focus on integrating these functions for optimal results.
As Sopra Steria Germany continues to evolve and grow, Selke's leadership is expected to play a crucial role in shaping the company's future.
In his new role, Darius Selke will be managing finance, a crucial aspect of the business, as he oversees the company's strategic collaborations and client relationships. Furthermore, his leadership in technology-oriented innovation partnerships aligns with the company's focus on integrating technology within their business operations.
