In an innovative move to bridge the language gap and promote digital inclusion, Indian American entrepreneur Chezhiyan "Chez" Siva has launched a new web and mobile app called Front Page. The platform, developed by Siva's company Parla Dynamics, aims to create a more inclusive digital experience by allowing users to communicate in the language they think, feel, and dream in.

The potential audience for the language-based platform includes vast communities primarily speaking Spanish or other regional languages in the U.S., as well as rural communities and linguistic minorities in India. Front Page supports a dozen Indian languages along with English, French, and Spanish, allowing seamless content creation and engagement across multiple scripts.

Siva chose to begin with Indian languages because of India's rich linguistic diversity, which often creates communication barriers within the country. He gives the example of small local business owners in Kerala who want to advertise their services to visitors from other regions but face challenges due to language barriers.

With Front Page, these business owners can post travel tips, reviews, or cultural content in their own language, and others can consume it in theirs. This empowers users to post messages in their native languages using various input methods, ensuring a fully immersive digital experience in original languages.

The app is free for users, with the revenue model focusing on service providers. Siva's long-term vision for Parla Dynamics includes serving communities and cultures to share and expand. In addition to Front Page, the company is already working on Relay, a chat messaging service based on the same fundamental principles.

Front Page is currently in the pilot stage and being tested for public release. The venture has been self-funded from the ground up, with enough funds to manage for at least 6 months to a year. The goal of Front Page is to deliver the digital experience in its original form to everyone, including rural communities and those who don't understand English.

By removing the barrier for those who do not speak dominant languages like English, Front Page aims to address the exclusion faced by many people who lack fluency in widely used languages. In a humble manner, the platform aims to bridge the gap and create a more inclusive digital world where users won't have to translate themselves to fit in; instead, the platform will adapt to them.

  1. The revenue model for Front Page, a language-based platform designed to promote digital inclusion, primarily focuses on serving businesses and service providers.
  2. With Front Page, users can engage in a digital lifestyle that seamlessly connects them with others, regardless of their linguistic background, bridging the gap in finance and technology sectors.
