Sanlorenzo's New Flagship 74Steel to Launch in 2024
Sanlorenzo is set to launch its new flagship, the 74Steel, in 2024. This 74-meter yacht embodies the brand's commitment to elegance and authentic sea life, with a diesel-electric propulsion system and striking exterior design.
The 74Steel, with approximately 1,900 GT, is the largest yacht from Sanlorenzo to date. It features a unique propulsion system consisting of six Volvo Penta - Mase generators powering two Schottel E-Pods, each with 1,000 kW. This hybrid configuration also includes Lehamann Cobra battery systems using LFP cell technology, with a combined capacity of 1.5 MWh.
The exterior lines, designed by Zuccon International Project, boast a vertical bow and sloped stern. The interiors of the first unit, designed by Francesco Paszkowski and Margherini, showcase pronounced curves and carpets reflecting the exterior lines. The first two units have a diesel-electric propulsion system, offering greater layout freedom and larger beach club and spa areas. The third unit, however, has a conventional in-line shaft propulsion.
Three units of the 74Steel have already been sold, with a fourth in negotiation, each with personalized layouts and bow configurations. The 74Steel's launch in 2024 marks a significant moment for Sanlorenzo, reaffirming its commitment to elegance, sobriety, and the authentic beauty of life at sea.
