Samsung unveiled the initial 37-inch curved 4K display intended for gaming, yet it comes with a twist

Samsung has quietly launched its latest gaming monitor, the Odyssey G75F, in Malaysia. The monitor boasts a 37-inch VA curved (1000R) panel with a 4K resolution (3840 x 2160), a 165Hz refresh rate, and a 1ms GtG response time.

The Odyssey G75F also features VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification with HDR10+, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support, and an array of I/O ports including DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI 2.1, USB-B, and two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A.

The monitor is priced at approximately $1,038 USD or £780 in Malaysia, and is currently listed and sold on Samsung Malaysia’s official website. However, there is no announced global release date yet or indication that it will be available outside Malaysia in the immediate future.

The monitor has been used by a user testing the LG UltraGear 39GS95QE-B for Tom's Guide, but no further information about its global release is provided. It is unclear if the monitor will be released outside of Malaysia.

The Odyssey G75F is the first 37-inch model with a native 4K resolution, making it an attractive option for those looking for a monitor for work and play. However, users may express uncertainty about dropping their refresh rate to accommodate a 4K resolution.

It's worth noting that the monitor does not include built-in speakers, and it lacks NVIDIA G-Sync support, offering only AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.

In summary, the Samsung Odyssey G75F 37-inch 4K 165Hz monitor is exclusive to Malaysia with no announced global release schedule. If you are outside Malaysia, the monitor is not yet available for purchase locally and no global release timing is confirmed.

Gadget enthusiasts may find the lack of a global release for the Samsung Odyssey G75F 37-inch 4K 165Hz monitor disappointing, especially when considering popular gadgets like smartphones or other technological devices are usually accessible in multiple regions. It's uncertain if the exclusivity of this premium monitor to Malaysia will eventually expand, allowing more users to enjoy its impressive features such as VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification and support for smartphone connectivity through its USB ports.
