ROG Xbox Ally & Ally X Get Official Storage Upgrades
Gamers rejoice! Two licensed storage solutions have been announced for the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X handhelds. A microSD card and an SSD are now available to expand your gaming experience.
The WD_Black SN7100X NVMe SSD is the official storage solution for the ROG Xbox Ally X. It comes in 2TB and 4TB capacities, offering read speeds up to 7,250MB/s and write speeds up to 6,000MB/s. Plus, it includes a one-month trial to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Meanwhile, SanDisk's microSD card supports both the standard Ally and Ally X, with capacities up to 2TB and speeds up to 200MB/s. The microSD cards start at £49.99 / $69.99 and will ship around the same time as the consoles.
Pre-orders for the ROG Xbox Ally X have faced stock shortages, with the console priced at £799 / $999.99 / €899 / AU$1,599 and delayed shipping. The standard Xbox Ally is more affordable at £499 / $599.99 / €599 / AU$999.
