Rail-Flow strengthens its digital logistics network with acquisition of Simply Deliver, aiming to create a comprehensive end-to-end system.
In a significant move to revolutionise logistics across Europe, German digital provider Rail-Flow has announced the acquisition of Rotterdam-based Simply Deliver. The merger unites the complementary offerings of both companies, creating a unique digital logistics ecosystem that covers the entire spectrum of rail, road, and intermodal transport.
Simply Deliver, a leading player in road-based logistics digitalisation, particularly in the Benelux region, will continue to operate as an independent brand within the Rail Flow Group. The teams and locations of both companies, including Frankfurt, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Izmir, Manila, and Brisbane, will remain fully operational.
The integrated Transport Management Platform created by the merger combines Rail-Flow's comprehensive order-to-cash rail and intermodal logistics management—including offer management, CRM, contract management, transport management system (TMS), invoicing, fleet management, and a digital freight marketplace—with Simply Deliver's API-based solutions for AI-driven data automation, proof of delivery, driver and charter apps, control portals, and visibility tools mainly for road logistics.
This fusion creates a unified product, merging Rail-Flow's Rail TMS and Simply Deliver's Intermodal TMS, which promises to deliver an end-to-end Transport Management Platform that supports seamless logistics from first mile to last mile. The platform aims to enhance digitalisation, operational process management, CO2 reduction, and modal shift options, enabling customers to manage logistics operations across rail, road, and intermodal modes with integrated functionalities under one ecosystem.
Osman Akdemir, Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Rail-Flow and Simply Deliver, notes that the collaboration between the two companies has always complemented each other, with rail meeting visibility and process meeting automation. As one team and one group, they are ready to shape the future of logistics together. Dominik Fürste, Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Rail-Flow, mentions that the merger is a natural evolution and a strategic boost for their ability to digitize logistics across all modes.
Alexander Hedderich, Chairman of the Rail-Flow Advisory Board, states that the combination of both companies creates a unique Transport Management Platform that adds value to customers along the entire transport chain and strengthens rail competitiveness sustainably.
This acquisition marks a significant step forward in Rail-Flow's mission for seamless, end-to-end digital logistics solutions across Europe. With the merger, customers can look forward to a more efficient, sustainable, and integrated logistics experience.
