**Headline:** El Ingenio Shopping Centre in Vélez-Málaga Unveils Largest EV Charging Station in Andalusia

In a significant step towards sustainable transport, El Ingenio shopping centre in Vélez-Málaga, Axarquía, has opened the largest electric vehicle (EV) charging station in Andalusia. The facility, boasting 30 charging points, is a testament to the centre's commitment to environmental responsibility and a major advance in supporting sustainable transportation in the region.

The charging station, operated by Endesa, features a mix of ultra-fast, fast, and semi-fast chargers. Eight ultra-fast chargers, each rated at 300 kW, can add up to 100 kilometers of range in just 3 to 10 minutes, making it an ideal choice for long-distance travel. Additionally, there are 14 fast chargers at 60 kW and 8 semi-fast chargers at 22 kW.

The shopping centre has also installed solar-powered stations for bikes and scooters, further expanding the range of sustainable transport options available. To power these facilities, El Ingenio has incorporated a photovoltaic system that generates 30% of its own electricity. This renewable energy contribution is expected to cut over 800 tonnes of CO2 emissions, promoting a greener future for Axarquía.

Axarquia is moving towards sustainable transport, and El Ingenio's renewable energy initiatives align with this broader movement. The centre's commitment to reducing carbon emissions is evident in the photovoltaic system, which is a significant part of its sustainable transport efforts.

The shopping centre's sustainable transport initiatives not only cater to car users but also to bike and scooter users, reflecting its comprehensive approach to promoting eco-friendly travel. The El Ingenio charging station is more than just a place to recharge—it's a hub for sustainable transportation in Axarquía.
