PI Unveils F-690.S1 SpaceFAB: Revolutionizing High-Resolution Automation
PI (Physik Instrumente) has unveiled the F-690.S1 SpaceFAB, a cutting-edge 6-axis motorized positioning stage platform designed for high-resolution automation tasks. The platform boasts impressive features for efficient and precise motion control.
The F-690.S1 SpaceFAB offers 6-DOF motion, covering X, Y, Z, pitch, yaw, and roll axes with minimal mechanical crosstalk. It supports payloads up to 2kg and can operate in inverted orientations, ensuring versatility in various applications.
The platform comes with absolute encoders, providing resolution down to 1 nanometer, and features pneumatic brakes for enhanced safety. PI has integrated preloaded groupon alignment routines for swift signal acquisition.
For rapid signal optimization, the SpaceFAB incorporates Multi-Axis Gradient Search. It also offers PI LightningFast First Light Search, enabling first-light detection over a 500×500μm2 area in just 0.3 seconds. FMPA Meander and Spiral Scans allow full-area spiral scans in as little as 0.3 to 2 seconds.
The platform includes an ACS-based SPiiPlusEC motion controller, ensuring fast and precise motion. It also offers software-defined pivot points, making it adaptable to diverse automation tasks.
