Partnership Established by HyperStrong and Repono to Accelerate Grid-Scale Battery Energy Storage Development in Europe
HyperStrong, a global leader in battery energy storage system (BESS) solutions, and Repono AB, a Swedish energy infrastructure developer, have joined forces in a strategic partnership to advance 1.4 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of grid-scale energy storage projects across Europe by 2027. This collaboration was formalised on June 23, 2025.
The partnership aims to contribute 0.4% to Europe's renewable energy goals for 2030 and will support an additional 400 megawatt-hours (MWh) of renewable power on the European grid. HyperStrong, known for its system integration capabilities and lifecycle services, will leverage its expertise in BESS solution delivery and lifecycle services.
Both parties will engage in joint planning and project reviews for identified pipeline projects. The collaboration also includes a mutual commitment to discussing and developing a common approach for the projects. This synergy ensures a comprehensive approach to project design, permitting, and EPC coordination.
