Partnership between Qvest and EVS aims to revolutionize control room adaptability
In a significant development for the broadcasting industry, the National Broadcasting Services of Thailand (NBT) has chosen the Flexible Control Room (FCR) solution from EVS for all its IP production centers. This decision marks the beginning of a strategic partnership between EVS and Qvest, aimed at supporting the launch of the FCR solution.
The partnership will see Qvest providing bespoke training for the FCR solution to both NBT and RTBF's production teams. Qvest will also conduct an assessment of users' operational environments as part of the implementation process, ensuring a smooth transition toward flexible, modernized, and software-defined operations.
Thomas Mueller, CTO at Qvest, expressed his pleasure with the strengthened partnership, stating that it is a significant step forward in delivering top-tier expertise for the deployment of FCR. Mueller further added that Qvest's systems integration expertise, coupled with its consultancy in broadcast transformation and change management, will be instrumental in the success of this partnership.
Nicolas Bourdon, CCO at EVS, expressed that FCR aims to redefine production control rooms in a multi-platform world. FCR, launched alongside Tactiq, is designed to replace hardware-based control room setups with scalable, software-defined workspaces. This will enable production teams to dynamically adapt to evolving requirements, providing a more agile and efficient solution for live and on-demand content production.
In addition to the training and implementation support, Qvest will continue to offer ongoing monitoring and support for the FCR solution. They will also map key stakeholders and ensure alignment throughout the transformation programme, ensuring a seamless integration of the FCR solution into the broadcasting workflow.
The strategic partnership between EVS and Qvest will also support RTBF's transition to an all-IP production hub, a move that is becoming increasingly common in the broadcasting industry. This partnership will provide RTBF, a Belgian broadcaster, with the necessary support to fully leverage FCR's flexibility, enabling them to produce high-quality content more efficiently than ever before.
In conclusion, the partnership between EVS and Qvest is set to revolutionize the production control rooms of the future. With its focus on flexibility, scalability, and software-defined workspaces, the FCR solution promises to redefine the way live and on-demand content is produced, making it a game-changer in the broadcasting industry.
