Panasonic Lumix Lens Prices Surge in US Market

Several popular Panasonic Lumix lenses have seen a price increase in the US market. The changes affect both full-frame S and Micro Four Thirds G series lenses, with some models experiencing significant price hikes.

The Panasonic Lumix S 50mm f/1.8, for instance, has risen to $499 from its previous price of $448. Meanwhile, the Lumix G X Vario 35-100mm f/2.8 II Power OIS has increased to $1199, up from $1099. Other lenses affected include the Lumix S 100mm f/2.8 Macro, now $1099 (up from $999), and the Lumix S 24-105mm f/4 Macro OIS, priced at $1399 (up from $1299).

The premium Leica DG Nocticron 42.5mm f/1.2 Asph Power OIS has also increased, now priced at $1999 (up from $1699). The Lumix S 28-200mm f/4-7.1 Macro OIS and the Lumix S PRO 16-35mm f/4 have seen increases to $999 and $1649 respectively. The Lumix S 24-60mm f/2.8 is now priced at $1050, up from $899.

These price changes reflect a trend of increasing costs for Panasonic's high-quality Lumix contact lenses in the US. While the new prices may be a consideration for potential buyers, the lenses remain popular for their optical performance and build quality.
