The offshore industry recently welcomed the delivery of the Prosperous 6, a state-of-the-art Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) designed by Chartwell Marine, to Singapore-based offshore vessel operator Pacific Radiance.

The Prosperous 6, with its low lightship displacement, can carry payloads of up to 35 tonnes, a significant advantage for offshore wind operations where efficient transport of crews and equipment is crucial. During a bollard push test, the vessel delivered over 17 tonnes of bollard push, showcasing its strong maneuverability and operational reliability.

Sea trials conducted on the Prosperous 6 revealed speeds over 25 knots at 85% engine load, further highlighting its high performance capabilities. The vessel's design, tailored for the offshore wind sector and specifically the Asia-Pacific region, also meets regional and industry requirements, including loadline compliance.

The Prosperous 6's large superstructure capacity enables comfortable accommodation of multiple crews and technicians, supporting offshore workforce logistics. Moreover, the vessel design can be built anywhere in the Asia-Pacific region, using local content and employees, enhancing supply chain efficiency and regional economic benefits.

The Brevity Class CTVs, of which the Prosperous 6 is a part, are gaining popularity in the Asia-Pacific region. Pacific Radiance has expressed interest in these vessels for their operations across the region. The Brevity Class CTVs are particularly notable for their performance in challenging environments. In fact, one Brevity Class CTV has been delivered, five have been ordered, and there is strong interest from Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan.

Chartwell's vessel designs, including the Brevity Class CTVs, are recognised throughout the offshore industry. Jacky Chen, General Manager at Pacific Radiance, has stated that Chartwell's Brevity Class CTVs are renowned for their reliability and performance.
