Nissan unveils a fresh sneak peek: Could this be the impending 7-seater MPV model based on the Renault Triber?
The automotive industry in India is gearing up for an exciting addition, as Nissan prepares to launch its new B-MPV. This seven-seater MPV, built on the CMF-A+ platform, shares some similarities with the Renault Triber, but with a distinct Nissan touch.
The B-MPV is expected to boast a modern front fascia, featuring a larger Nissan grille, a slim chrome strip connecting new headlamp clusters, and a set of sleek LED tail-lights. The front bumper will be larger and will have C-shaped elements flanking the lower grille. The vehicle will also come with a new set of alloys and roof rails.
Under the hood, the B-MPV is expected to be powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, producing 71 bhp and 96 Nm of torque. This engine can be mated to either a five-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. The MPV is also likely to retain the new grille and headlamp design from the Renault Triber facelift.
In terms of interior, while details have yet to be revealed, the B-MPV is expected to offer the new digital console and infotainment system seen on the facelifted Renault Triber. The practical seven-seater layout is expected to be retained.
The B-MPV is slated for a debut in the first quarter of 2026 in India. Pre-production is currently underway at the Renault production plant in Chennai.
