Newly installed synthetic grass at Freudenberg now ready for play
The project wrapped up sooner than expected! 🥳 The sports complex re-opened on the 3rd of June, 2025. You can now freely visit again without any restrictions. Despite the swift completion, the projected costs of around 220,000 euros remain on target, as stated by the administration.
Meanwhile, the Sports and Baths Office, along with the SSV Germania representatives, have spruced up the sports building's exterior, finishing the task within the same week. This timely makeover is perfectly timed for SSV Germania 1900's 125th anniversary celebration.
However, it seems that the Riedelstraße sports field in Sudberg's renovations aren't quite done for the summer yet. On the 23rd of June, work will carry on, focusing on not only replacing the old artificial turf but also tackling the aging base layer that's over 20 years old. An estimated six weeks are currently in play for this project.
