The Ather Energy 450S, the latest addition to India's electric scooter market, boasts impressive performance and features. This new variant, launched in August 2025, is equipped with a 5.4 kW electric motor and 22 Nm of torque, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 3.9 seconds and achieve a top speed of 90 km/h.
The 450S comes with a larger 3.7 kWh battery, offering an IDC-certified range of 161 km, significantly extending its previous 2.9 kWh battery's 115 km range. The scooter features a 7-inch DeepView touchscreen display, Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and multiple ride modes (Smart Eco, Eco, Ride, Sport).
Safety is a priority with the 450S, which includes features like AutoHold, Fall Safe, Emergency Stop Signal, and theft alerts. Charging to 80% takes approximately 4.5 hours via Ather’s Grid network or home chargers.
The 450S is priced competitively across major metros, with prices ranging from ₹1,45,999 to ₹1,48,258 (ex-showroom, varying by city). This electric scooter is positioned between the entry-level and premium versions of the 450 series, offering a sporty and long-range experience at a more accessible price compared to the top-tier 450X model.
Bookings for the 450S are now open, with deliveries scheduled to begin in August 2025. The battery pack of the 450S is strategically positioned in the floorboard. The new model from Ather is called the 450S and is covered under the 'Ather Eight70' warranty, offering 8 years or 80,000 km of battery protection.
