Datawrkz Acquires UK-Based Growth Marketing Agency Space & Time

Datawrkz, a subsidiary of Nazara Technologies Limited, has announced the acquisition of Space & Time, an independent growth marketing agency based in the UK. The deal, worth approximately GBP 4.8 million (~₹52.3 Crore) in cash and stock, is aimed at strengthening Datawrkz's position in the digital marketing and adtech space.

Established in 2000, Space & Time has 135 staff across offices in London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Surrey, and Bournemouth. The agency has worked with a diverse range of clients, including Taylor Wimpey Plc, Caffe Nero, O2 Retail, Save The Children, and Wolf 1834. Space & Time is one of a select few Google Premier Partners in the UK and has a strong presence in the casual gaming segment.

The acquisition is strategically aimed at enhancing Datawrkz's capabilities in audience engagement and app promotion. This move is expected to integrate Space & Time’s specialized growth marketing expertise to improve client campaign performance, expand client services, and accelerate business growth through more effective marketing strategies.

Datawrkz, known for creative audience engagement and app promotion, can now leverage Space & Time's growth marketing strengths to boost its overall digital marketing efficacy and help clients scale their paid media and customer acquisition efforts more efficiently.

With this acquisition, Space & Time will gain access to Datawrkz's cutting-edge technology and products, enhancing their ability to deliver effective campaigns and capitalize on growth opportunities in Europe and North America.

Meanwhile, Nazara Technologies has also acquired a majority stake in Ad Tech firm Paper Boat Apps. The acquisitions are part of Nazara Technologies' strategy to expand its presence in the digital gaming industry. These acquisitions are expected to enhance Nazara Technologies' portfolio of mobile games.

The acquisitions are subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions. Senthil Govindan, CEO and founder of Datawrkz, will join the Space & Time board. Chris Jones, Space & Time's chief executive officer, was named in the 'CEO and Leaders' category of the BIMA 100, a listing of the top 100 movers and shakers in the UK's digital and technology industry.

Fusebox Games, a UK-based mobile game development studio, is another acquisition announced by Nazara Technologies, with terms not disclosed. The collaboration between Datawrkz and Space & Time aims to deliver more impactful digital advertising solutions and drive further expansion, especially in the European and UK markets.
