Samsung's Galaxy A56 5G Arrives in the U.S., Packed with AI-Powered Features

Samsung's latest budget offering, the Galaxy A56 5G, has officially landed in the U.S. market, following its global launch in March. This mid-range device boasts Samsung's "Awesome Intelligence" software, designed to enhance creativity, ease of use, and overall smartphone experience.

The Awesome Intelligence in the Galaxy A56 5G includes several AI-powered features. Users can take advantage of Circle to Search with Google, allowing them to circle, highlight, or tap on any object or text onscreen to instantly get Google Search results. This feature makes it easy to find information without leaving the app.

The Object Eraser lets users remove unwanted elements or distractions from photos, automatically recognizing and filling in the background to create cleaner, polished images. Users can also create their own photo and video filters or apply retro film effects for personalized visual styles with Custom Filters.

The Galaxy A56 5G's 50MP main camera uses AI to identify and enhance different scene elements like sky, skin, hair, and grass, improving image quality automatically. Highlight Reel Creation simplifies video editing by letting users effortlessly create quality highlight videos from their clips.

The device also offers the exclusive Best Face feature, which selects the best facial expressions from multiple frames in Motion Photos and combines them into one ideal group photo, ensuring everyone looks their best.

In addition to these features, the Galaxy A56 5G promises improved durability, long OS update support (six generations of Android OS upgrades), and robust privacy protections through Knox Vault and Knox Matrix security features.

The Galaxy A56 5G is now available nationwide in the U.S. at retailers for $499. It comes in three colour options: Awesome Lightgray, Awesome Graphite, and an exclusive Awesome Olive option on Amazon. The device features a 6.7-inch FHD Plus Super AMOLED display and a triple camera array, consisting of a 50MP primary lens, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro lens, with a 12MP selfie camera.

The Galaxy A56 5G offers two storage variations: 128GB and 256GB. It is priced higher than the Galaxy A36 and A26, which are priced at $399 and $299 respectively. The Galaxy A series phones are now available at various retailers, including Best Buy, Walmart, Samsung, Amazon, Verizon, and AT&T.

The Galaxy A56 5G also features Nightography software with Low Noise mode for improved low-light photography. It is one of the latest devices in Samsung's 2025 wave of Galaxy A series devices, which were launched in March 2021. Notably, the Galaxy A55 was absent from the U.S. market, and the Galaxy A56 5G has waited until now to officially arrive in the States.

Samsung's Knox Vault and Knox Matrix are designed to help safeguard the privacy of the Galaxy A56 5G users. The device will receive six generations of Android OS updates, including One UI, and six years of security updates, ensuring a smooth and secure user experience.

Users can capture and enhance their photos with the Galaxy A56 5G's AI-powered features, such as the Object Eraser for removing unwanted elements and Custom Filters for personalized visual styles. This smartphone is also equipped with technology like Circle to Search, Highlight Reel Creation, and Nightography for better low-light photography.
