MSI has launched the Modern 15, a robust laptop certified to military standard MIL-STD-810H, offering durability and reliable performance for everyday use.
The MSI Modern 15 boasts a 39.3Wh battery, providing 4 to 6 hours of battery life, and charges quickly with its 90W power adapter. This Taiwanese-made notebook features a Full-HD display with decent visuals but lacks in color coverage and brightness. It's well-built with an aluminum lid and interior, and a plastic bottom and display frame.
The keyboard is a standout feature, offering bright lighting, a crisp pressure point, and 1.5mm travel, perfect for long typing sessions. The touchpad is average, and while it lacks a fingerprint reader, it does have a Copilot key. The 720p webcam can be mechanically closed and offers sufficient image quality for occasional video calls.
Under the hood, the Modern 15 packs an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor with 16 cores and 22 threads, along with 16 GB DDR5 RAM, providing ample power for office tasks and old games. Storage is handled by a 512 GB SSD, adequate for everyday use. Connectivity options include USB-C, HDMI 2.1, multiple USB-A ports, a headphone jack, and a MicroSD card reader, but no Thunderbolt 4.
