Monthly Data Confidentiality and Control (DeCC) Initiative Implemented by COTI to Protect User Privacy

At the forefront of this privacy revolution is COTI's Decentralized Confidential Computing (DeCC) initiative. This initiative, which organises regular developer gatherings, is focused on advancing privacy protocols on blockchain. At the heart of DeCC is COTI's innovative use of Garbled Circuits, a cryptographic method that allows smart contracts to process encrypted data without revealing the underlying information. This technique supports secure business operations on public blockchains by safeguarding sensitive data and trader behaviours.
Compared to traditional zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs), COTI’s Garbled Circuits offer faster and more scalable privacy solutions, making them well-suited for wide, everyday use in Web3. The Layer 2 EVM-compatible privacy-focused chain launched by COTI’s v2 mainnet upgrade embodies this approach, enabling private onchain activities without data exposure while facilitating enterprise-grade privacy compliance.
COTI's DeCC initiative is expected to drive mainstream adoption of privacy-preserving Web3 applications. Its focus on regulatory alignment combined with enhanced user data secrecy aims to attract institutional adoption and broaden use cases, especially in fintech and decentralized finance.
