Mining operations continued by Questcorp as they progress towards drilling at the La Union Gold & Silver Project in Mexico.
Questcorp Mining Initiates Drilling at La Union Gold-Silver Project in Sonora, Mexico
Questcorp Mining Inc., a company engaged in the acquisition and exploration of mineral properties in North America, has commenced a drilling program at its La Union Gold-Silver Project in Sonora, Mexico. The project, which covers an area of 2,520.2 hectares, is a carbonate replacement deposit (CRD) project hosted by Neoproterozoic sedimentary rocks.
The drilling program, consisting of around 1,500 meters of diamond core drilling across six holes, aims to expand and explore historic gold and silver mineralization zones. The targets of this drilling include four main zones: Union Main Mine, North Union Mine, Cobre Mine, and Central Union Area.
Historical mining production at the La Union Project is approximately 50,000 ounces of gold. Notable high-grade surface samples from these zones include 59.4 grams per metric tonne (g/t) gold, 833 g/t silver, 11% zinc, 5.5% lead, 2.2% copper, along with significant hematite and manganese oxides.
Structural geology analysis has identified multiple stacked thrust faults in the main mineralized area, enhancing the host rock volume and the potential for significant mineralization. The geologic setting and style of mineralization are similar to the large Hermosa Project in nearby Arizona, suggesting potential for not only gold and silver but also possible porphyry copper mineralization.
Riverside Resources Inc. is operating the drilling program under an option agreement with Questcorp. The drilling program is part of a larger C$5.5 million exploration work commitment by Questcorp, with an initial C$1 million allocated to this first drilling phase.

Questcorp's President & CEO, Saf Dhillon, stated that the work being done by Riverside's technical team has significantly enhanced the potential of the project. The company is currently updating shareholders on the progress of the surface exploration and upcoming drilling at the La Union Gold-Silver Project.
