Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe Launches in UK: Stylish, Luxurious SUV Alternative
Mercedes-Benz has launched the GLC Coupe in the UK, offering a stylish alternative to the standard SUV with a range of trim levels and packages. The new model is available in Sport or AMG Line trim, with a choice of diesel engines and a host of standard features.
The GLC Coupe comes with a generous list of standard equipment, including Garmin Sat Nav, Park Assist, Artico fake leather, Keyless entry, Reversing Camera, LED headlights, heated front seats, sports suspension, electric tailgate, electric mirrors, black ash wood trim, and 18-inch alloys. Optional packages are available, such as the Premium and Premium Plus Packages (£1495 and £2795), Lane Tracking (£595), Driver Assistance Package (£1695), and Night Package (£495).
The AMG Line trim adds an AMG steering wheel, brushed steel sports pedals, AMG body kit, 19-inch alloys, and chrome grille pins for an additional £1,495. Mercedes has chosen a luxury-focused strategy for the GLC Coupe in Germany, positioning it against competitors like the BMW iX3 and emphasizing features such as massage seats and ambient lighting. The GLC 220d and 250d models offer an official economy of 56.5mpg and come with a 2.1-litre diesel engine, 9G-Tronic automatic gearbox, and 4MATIC four-wheel drive.
More powerful versions, such as the GLC 350e plug-in and the GLC 43 AMG, will be available for order in September. The GLC Coupe is now on sale at Mercedes UK dealers, with first customer cars due in September. Prices start at £40,580, and while it offers less practical space than the GLC SUV, it prioritizes design and lifestyle.
