The Republic of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population is embarking on an ambitious digital transformation, integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into various services to streamline processes, reduce bureaucracy, and improve responsiveness to citizens' needs.

At the heart of this transformation is the Enbek service, a digital platform designed to revolutionise job searching, staffing, and workforce skill matching. This AI-driven platform will identify skill gaps across enterprises, efficiently match individuals with relevant job vacancies or suitable training programs, thus addressing the evolving demands of the economy and improving employment outcomes.

The Ministry's initiatives extend beyond Enbek. AI technologies are being integrated into the Digital Map of Labor Risks, a tool that monitors data from over 92,100 enterprises in all sectors of the economy, each with more than 10 employees. This map allows for in-depth analysis of collected data, enabling the prediction and resolution of risks for 2,200 enterprises last year, protecting the rights and interests of 63,400 workers.

AI is also being leveraged to automate public labor services. The automation aims to speed up the processing of citizen requests and decision-making, reducing conflicts and increasing transparency. In line with this, an intelligent chatbot for citizen inquiries related to social and labor issues will be launched this year, providing round-the-clock support.

Moreover, AI tools support tracking compliance with employment creation quotas linked to investment projects, promoting job growth and accountability from investors. The portal currently combines data from over 1,000 investment projects.

In the realm of healthcare, AI will assist in analyzing medical data and recommending disability groups in the remote medical-social expertise process. This advisory role will help ensure accurate and efficient determination of the degree of health loss.

Looking ahead, the Ministry plans to create a digital platform "Human Resource Management" this year, which will help forecast staffing needs, adapt training programs to real labor market demands, and increase the efficiency of managing human resources.

The Ministry's initiatives are part of a broader government roadmap to embed AI in public administration, including real-sector labor productivity and public service modernization. These efforts aim to make public services more accessible, efficient, and responsive, ultimately contributing to a more prosperous and equitable society in Kazakhstan.

The digital transformation in Kazakhstan's labor sector extends to the realm of finance, as AI technologies are being utilized to track compliance with employment creation quotas linked to investment projects, promoting job growth and accountability from investors.

Moreover, in the future, AI tools may also be used in conjunction with technology and the finance industry, as the Ministry plans to create a digital platform for Human Resource Management, aiming to predict staffing needs, adapt training programs to real-time labor market demands, and increase the efficiency of managing human resources.
