Introducing the XIO Soundbar from KEF: a new audio solution for audiophiles and cinema enthusiasts.

KEF, a renowned British audio company, has introduced the XIO soundbar, a revolutionary device designed to elevate the home theatre experience. The XIO boasts several key features and innovations that set it apart from other soundbars on the market.

## Key Features of the KEF XIO Soundbar

The XIO employs a 5.1.2 configuration, which includes five main channels, one subwoofer channel, and two overhead channels. It is equipped with three Uni-Q MX drivers and two full-range drivers for the main channels, providing an expansive soundstage. Four P185 LF drivers handle the lower frequencies, ensuring deep and controlled bass.

The Uni-Q MX drivers are smaller versions of KEF's coaxial Uni-Q drivers, designed to widen the stereo sweet spot and enhance sound imaging. The P185 LF drivers are enhanced with KEF’s P-Flex technology, adapted from their subwoofers, helping resist acoustic pressure within the cabinet and allowing for more precise driver movement and deeper bass extension.

KEF's patent-pending Velocity Control Technology (VECO) monitors cone motion and minimizes distortion in the P185 LF driver, contributing to a more immersive audio experience. The Music Integrity Engine (MIE) for Cinema, KEF's in-house suite of DSP algorithms for the XIO, delivers multi-channel processing, virtualization, and adaptive placement capabilities.

## Enhancements to the Home Theater Experience

The XIO supports Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Sony 360 Reality Audio, creating a rich, three-dimensional sound environment that brings movies and games to life. Intelligent Placement Technology ensures optimal sound quality regardless of the room layout, while a dedicated Dialogue Mode enhances speech clarity by boosting vocal frequencies and reducing background noise.

The soundbar features a sleek aluminum top plate and splash-proof fabric, available in Silver Grey or Slate Black, making it both aesthetically pleasing and durable. It offers a range of connectivity options, including HDMI eARC, optical, Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6, AirPlay 2, Chromecast built-in, and Bluetooth 5.3. It can be controlled via the top panel, remote, or the KEF Connect app.

The XIO is available for purchase at a retail price of $2499.99. For more information, visit us.kef.com. This innovative soundbar is set to redefine home theatre experiences, offering immersive audio, adaptive performance, enhanced clarity, seamless connectivity, and versatile use.
