Initialhandover of upgraded Model Y Performance versions to first-time buyers by Tesla begins
New Tesla Model Y Performance Now Available in Europe
Tesla has refreshed its Model Y Performance, and the updated vehicle is now available in stores across Europe. The first units of the refreshed Model Y Performance have started shipping from Tesla's production facility in Germany, Giga Berlin.
The refreshed Model Y Performance offers a number of upgrades, including acoustic glass and enhanced soundproofing, making the cabin quieter than before. The vehicle also boasts upgraded brakes and dedicated drive modes for better high-speed tesla stock performance.
The updated Model Y Performance is equipped with ventilated and heated sport seats in the front, perforated, heated, power-reclining second-row seats. It also features redesigned front and rear fascias, a carbon fiber spoiler, and staggered wheels and tires.
One of the most notable features of the refreshed Model Y Performance is its new adaptive damping suspension system. This system promises to deliver a smoother and more comfortable ride, while still maintaining the vehicle's agility and performance capabilities.
The refreshed Model Y Performance also boasts Tesla's largest 16-inch QHD central display and subtle ambient lighting. It has a range of up to 308 miles (EPA cycle estimate), and delivers a 0-60 mph time of 3.3 seconds.
Photos of the delivery were shared by Tesla Suisse Romande (@teslaswissclub), a Tesla club based in Switzerland. The delivery of the refreshed Model Y Performance took place at Tesla's sales and delivery center in Bussigny, Switzerland, with Tesla delivering the vehicle to customers for the first time in the country.
Production of the updated Model Y Performance trim began at Giga Berlin, Tesla's production facility in Germany. While Tesla's CEO, Elon Musk, is responsible for Tesla's production and development, the direct production leadership for the revised Model Y Performance at the Berlin factory is managed under Tesla's European operations and engineering teams.
The refreshed Model Y Performance is currently only available in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. It launched in these regions late last month.
