Hyundai Expands Track Maps Feature for N Models in Australia

Hyundai Motor Company has announced that it will be expanding its Track Maps feature to include more Australian race circuits for its i30 Sedan N, i20 N, and Kona N models.

Currently, the Track Maps technology is not offered as a standard feature in any of the N models, but can be updated for some models. Initially, the updated Track Maps feature will include Sydney Motorsport Park and Goulburn's Wakefield Park. Beyond these, Hyundai plans to add Oran Park Raceway, Eastern Creek Raceway, and Sandown Raceway to the list.

The Track Maps feature allows drivers to focus on nailing the lap rather than looking for a button to press. It includes an automatic lap timer and recognizes where it is within the vehicle's navigation system. This expanded selection enables drivers to enjoy more immersive and authentic track driving experiences within the Hyundai N driving programs.

The i30 Sedan N is the most expensive of the N cars to feature Track Maps, with a list price of $49,000 before on-road costs. The Kona N, on the other hand, has a lower list price compared to the i30 Sedan N, at $47,500. The i20N has the lowest list price among the N models, at $32,490.

It's worth noting that all four layouts of Sydney Motorsport Park are included in the Track Maps feature. Drivers of i30 N Hatch and Fastback models will have to rely on dedicated lap timers or third-party smartphone apps to log their efforts, as the Track Maps technology is not available for these models.

Hyundai is implementing its Track Maps technology in its i30 Sedan N models from the factory. The technology will be available as a free update for i20N and Kona N owners from mid-2022. Hyundai continues to curate "a host of major circuits around Australia" for the mid-year launch of the Track Maps feature.

In addition to this, Hyundai offers exclusive track days and warranties that cover activities off public roads for its N models. This move is part of Hyundai's approach to including regional well-known race circuits in its Track Maps feature, which helps deliver localized, authentic racing experiences.

While no new publicly announced tracks beyond these have been found in the latest available materials dated up to August 2025, Hyundai's commitment to expanding its Track Maps feature suggests that more tracks may be added in the future.

Drivers of the Hyundai Kona N and i20 N models can look forward to significant improvements in their driving experiences, as the company plans to offer an updated Track Maps technology that includes popular race circuits such as Sydney Motorsport Park, Goulburn's Wakefield Park, Oran Park Raceway, Eastern Creek Raceway, and Sandown Raceway. This investment in technology is a strategic move by Hyundai, aiming to create more immersive and authentic track driving experiences for their N models. Additionally, enthusiasts of the i30 Sedan N, the flagship model among the N cars, can enjoy this advanced technology right from the factory, while Kona N and i20N owners can anticipate a free update for their vehicles starting mid-2022.
