The Renault Master Van H2-TECH has made a significant stride in the realm of zero-emission vehicles, winning the Heavy Commercial Vehicle of the Year award at the Millésime 2023 Trophies. This pioneering hydrogen mobility solution is set to provide businesses and local authorities with a competitive edge in their operations.
Powered by a 30 kW fuel cell technology, the Renault Master Van H2-TECH offers an optimum refueling time of just 5 minutes, making it a practical choice for those needing to transport goods and packages efficiently. With a load volume of 12 meters, it is well-equipped to handle various cargo needs.
Mehdi Ferhan, COO of HYVIA, the company behind the development of the Renault Master Van H2-TECH, expressed his gratitude for the award. He stated that it serves as a great encouragement for the HYVIA teams working tirelessly to advance hydrogen mobility. The development of the vehicle involves collaboration with the whole hydrogen industry in Europe.
The interior height of the Renault Master Van H2-TECH is 1.80 meters, allowing for standing upright inside, further enhancing its practicality. The electric motor of the vehicle is coupled with a 33 kWh battery, providing a range of up to 400 km.
The first trophy in France for the Renault Master Van H2-TECH is considered a great sign of progress in expanding hydrogen mobility. The award ceremony was held on 12 July at the Parc de Saint Cloud in Paris, France. Mehdi Ferhan also noted that the award is a testament to the daily challenges faced in expanding hydrogen mobility.
