High-Performance BMW M5 Boosted to 900 Horsepower now serves as a Powerful Family Vehicle
In a thrilling development, German tuner Manhart has revealed the MH5 900E, a significantly upgraded version of the BMW M5. The MH5 900E boasts an immense total output of 897 horsepower, achieved through an upgrade of the car's twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 engine.
Manhart, renowned for its exceptional work on BMW models, has replaced the factory alloys with its own 22-inch forged wheels. For those who prefer, the power upgrade alone can be chosen without the body kit modifications. The MH5 900E package, however, includes a carbon-fibre body kit adorned with champagne-gold accents, featuring a spoiler lip and canards up front, beefier side skirts, a new diffuser, and a trunk-lid spoiler. An extra roof-mounted spoiler completes the sleek and sporty look.
Torque in the MH5 900E significantly climbs to 1,200 Nm (885 lb-ft), providing a powerful driving experience. The electric motor in the MH5 900E remains untouched, maintaining the car's hybrid capabilities.
The retro-inspired windshield decal is a distinctive addition to the MH5 900E package. For those seeking a lower ride, Manhart's own lowering springs or a KW-developed coilover kit can be paired with the wheels.
However, it's worth noting that Manhart has not mentioned any reinforcements to the eight-speed automatic gearbox to cope with the added stress. The performance figures for the MH5 900E have yet to be released.
