Heidelberg's New Parking System: Mobile Cameras & Patrols Start Sept 18

Heidelberg is introducing a new parking management system. Starting September 18, 2025, mobile cameras and patrols from T-Mobile will monitor parking fee compliance. The city aims to improve payment tracking and tackle evaders.

The city will deploy a 'scan car' equipped with cameras to travel around streets. This mobile complex will check if drivers have paid for parking. In areas where equipment cannot be used, foot patrols will be employed.

To enhance efficiency, information gathered from mobile checks will be automatically sent for payment verification. Additionally, new CCTV cameras with an analytical system are planned for installation. These measures are expected to boost parking payment tracking and compliance.

Currently, monthly parking payment receipts total around 400,000 rubles and are increasing. Drivers can conveniently pay via SMS, USSD request, the ERIP system, or the 'Pay' service.

Heidelberg's new parking management system, starting with mobile cameras and patrols from T-Mobile, aims to ensure compliance and streamline payment processes. The city expects these measures to improve parking payment tracking and boost receipts.
