Google Launches Gemini 2.5 Flash Image AI Model

Google has officially launched Gemini 2.5 Flash Image, an advanced image-generation AI model previously known as 'nano-banana'. The model has gained attention on LMArena before its debut and is now available for use.

Gemini 2.5 Flash Image offers a range of features for users. It can maintain subject consistency across multiple images, enabling brands to showcase products in various environments. The model can also make minor edits based on natural language instructions and fuse multiple images together. It provides 10 aspect ratios across four styles for versatile content creation.

Google has made the model accessible through its developer docs and a cookbook. Users can start using Gemini 2.5 Flash Image for $0.039 per image. Additionally, Adobe users can access the model through Firefly and Express tools on the same day of its public introduction. Images created or edited using the model include an invisible Synth ID watermark for identification as AI-generated.

Google's Gemini 2.5 Flash Image, formerly known as 'nano-banana', is now generally available. With its unique features and affordable pricing, it is set to revolutionize image creation and editing. Users can explore its capabilities through Google's developer resources and Adobe's integration.
