Global Satellite Broadband Market to Reach $20 Billion by 2030

The global satellite broadband market is set to reach a staggering $20 billion (€17.1bn) by 2030, more than doubling from $10 billion in 2025. This significant growth will be fuelled by emerging markets like India and Indonesia, with key players forming strategic alliances to drive sales.

Companies such as AST SpaceMobile, SpaceX (Starlink), EchoStar, Globalstar, and Iridium are leading the charge. They are partnering with major mobile network operators like Vodafone, AT&T, Bell Canada, Verizon, Rakuten Mobile, and T-Mobile. These alliances aim to expand the satellite broadband market and reach the $20 billion target by 2030.

The growth is expected to be driven by advancements in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) technology. This will improve latency, making satellite internet faster and more reliable. Additionally, reduced launch costs will make satellite broadband more affordable and accessible. To further expand their reach, satellite providers are partnering with Internet service providers and other communication service providers (CSPs) to resell services and tap into new markets.

By 2030, the global satellite broadband market is projected to reach $20 billion, with emerging markets and strategic partnerships playing pivotal roles. The investment in LEO technology is set to transform the industry, making satellite broadband faster, more affordable, and widely available.
