### Gibson Unveils the Limited-Edition Les Paul Music City Special

Gibson, a renowned name in the music industry, has announced the production of a new limited-edition electric guitar, the Les Paul Music City Special. The guitar is a tribute to Nashville, the city it is named after, and pays homage to the Gibson Marauder of the '70s.

The Les Paul Music City Special is a single-cut electric guitar with contouring on the body's top, a double pickguard, and a Flying V-style 3-x-3 headstock. It boasts a lightweight, contoured poplar body and a maple neck with a SlimTaper profile. The guitar features a striped ebony fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets, acrylic dot inlays, and a 12" radius.

The guitar is equipped with a pair of '70s Tribute humbuckers, designed around an Alnico V magnet and wound hotter for a harder sound. The average DCR rating of these pickups is 15K. The Les Paul Music City Special also comes with Grover Mini-Rotomatics with metal buttons, a Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge, and an aluminum stop-bar.

In contrast to the original Marauder, the Les Paul Music City Special features a glued-in SlimTaper neck and a more familiar dual-humbucker electric guitar pickup configuration. While both guitars share some visual similarities, the Les Paul Music City Special is a more modern, refined interpretation with traditional Gibson construction and electronics.

The Les Paul Music City Special is offered in three finishes: Wine Red, Tobacco Sunburst, and Ebony. Each finish is limited to 650 units, priced at £1,599/$1,799 each. The price includes a soft-shell guitar case.

Mat Koehler, Gibson's vice president of product, described the Les Paul Music City Special as a tribute to Nashville's spirit of creativity and individuality. He stated that the guitar draws on everything Gibson has learned since opening its craftory in Nashville and channels it into something new and inspiring to play.

The Les Paul Music City Special is a versatile and functional instrument for today's working musician, designed to deliver the classic Gibson tone that musicians have come to love. With its limited production run, this guitar is sure to be a coveted piece for collectors and musicians alike.

In the realm of music and technology, the unveiling of the limited-edition Les Paul Music City Special by Gibson also hints at a possible crossover of interests with electric-vehicles and lifestyle, as the renowned brand incorporates design elements reminiscent of '70s gadgets into this contemporary single-cut electric guitar. For music enthusiasts and tech aficionados who appreciate cars and electric-vehicles, this limited-edition offering might become an iconic addition, not just to their guitar collection, but also to their overall lifestyle.
