Brandworks Technologies, an electronics design-led manufacturing company based in India, has successfully raised USD 7 million (approximately INR 61 crore) in a Series A funding round. The funding round was led by Cactus Partners (CPL), with additional participation from Gujarat Venture Finance Limited (GVFL), Legacy Assets, and the Hira Group.

This fundraising marks a significant step forward for Brandworks Technologies as it aims to become a global leader in electronics R&D and manufacturing. Co-founder Ishwar Kumhar expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "The fundraise is meant to fuel our mission to become a global leader in electronics R&D and manufacturing, emphasizing innovation designed and built in India for the global market."

Amit Sharma, General Partner at Cactus Partners, commended Brandworks' robust growth and healthy economics. He expressed delight in partnering with the company, recognising their sector expertise and founder-focused support as instrumental in their growth and success. Nikita Kumawat, another co-founder, echoed Sharma's sentiments, praising Cactus Partners' proactive support and insight.

The funds raised will be used to expand and upgrade Brandworks Technologies' R&D centres, establish partnerships in key international markets, develop next-generation product platforms, and scale manufacturing by adding new high-efficiency production lines. The company also plans to strengthen its workforce by hiring more engineering, design, and operations talent.

Brandworks works across various sectors, including AI hardware, IoT solutions, audio systems, charging technologies, financial devices, surveillance systems, and renewable energy products. They partner with global chip companies for co-creation, focusing on design excellence and manufacturing precision.

The electronics manufacturing sector is expected to grow at a healthy pace due to 'Make in India' initiatives and changing supply chains and geopolitics. Brandworks Technologies' decision to expand its operations aligns with this growth trajectory.

This is Cactus Partners' eleventh investment from its maiden fund and their third in the manufacturing sector. Previous investments by Cactus Partners include Lohum, Indigrid, Intangles, Kapture, Vitraya, AMPM, Auric, Parkmate, Ananant Systems, and Rubix (exited).

With this funding, Brandworks Technologies is poised to make a significant impact in the global electronics industry, bringing its innovative designs and manufacturing capabilities to markets around the world. The company's brand name, India, is an international franchise of its brand name Media.
