Kraken, a leading cryptocurrency exchange and a mission-focused company in the crypto industry, is currently seeking a Treasury Analyst to join its team of world-class crypto experts. The role, which includes the position of Senior Treasury Ops Analyst, is a high-visibility, strategic position that collaborates globally across settlements, product, and business development teams to optimize treasury functions and ensure financial agility.
Key Responsibilities
The Treasury Analyst will be responsible for building, updating, and interpreting cash flow, loans, interest earnings, target balancing, and custom treasury forecasting. They will use treasury management systems, wallet management tools, internal payment gateways, and banking partners to execute high-value payments, treasury rebalancing, and settlements.
Other key responsibilities include automating reconciliation processes and cash reporting, executing crypto trades and fiat FX transactions to support corporate treasury strategies and hedging, managing treasury tools across global banking partners, monitoring daily cash positions across multiple accounts and currencies, and initiating and approving high-value payments and treasury wire transfers.
Required Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate for the Treasury Analyst role should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics, and at least 3 years of experience in Accounting, Financial Services, and Treasury roles. An MBA is preferred for some roles. The candidate should have strong analytical skills with the ability to build financial models and work with diverse data types.
They should also have a good comprehension of balance sheet effects and a testable understanding of global and local fiat/crypto payment networks such as SWIFT, SEPA, Bitcoin, and Ethereum. Experience with treasury management systems, SQL, and Excel for data management is essential.
The candidate should possess a passion and demonstrable knowledge of cryptocurrencies with a security-first mindset. They should also be able to excel in a fast-paced, evolving environment, with occasional weekend work (1-3 times/month).
