Fermion unveils their latest album, titled 'Conflicted,' through the label Re:Mission Entertainment.
In the realm of electronic darkwave and industrial music, Fermion's latest album, "Conflicted", stands out as a contemporary evolution. Hailing from New York, the duo of Eric Shans and Augustine Backer have crafted a sonic masterpiece that blends synthwave, darkwave, industrial, and EBM genres, creating a unique and captivating sound.
The album thematically explores contrasts between emotional states and sonic textures, continuing Fermion's evolution from earlier works like "We Are Nowhere" and "Elegaic". Key tracks such as “Unity With Chaos” and “Impetus” exemplify the album’s trademark sound, mixing aggressive industrial beats with more melodic and atmospheric elements.
Comparatively, Fermion's "Conflicted" occupies a similar industrial/EBM/dark electronic niche to acts like Front Line Assembly, :Wumpscut:, and Noise Unit.
