Expanding attack surface protection through acquisition of Veriti by Check Point

Check Point, a leading cybersecurity solutions provider, has announced it will acquire Veriti Cybersecurity, an exposure asset specialist. Veriti, established in 2021, has pioneered the preemptive exposure management (PEM) platform category, offering automated threat exposure and mitigation tools.

Powered by artificial intelligence and integrated with over 70 vendors, Veriti's offerings are designed to continuously identify, prioritize, andaddress risks in real-time across multi-vendor environments. The company's tools include automatic patching and collaborative threat intelligence.

Check Point stated the acquisition would boost its ability to deliver complete risk lifecycle coverage as AI has enabled threat actors to launch attacks at scale, and enterprises are becoming increasingly hyperconnected.

Nadav Zafrir, CEO of Check Point Software Technologies, explained, "The acquisition of Veriti marks a significant step toward realizing our hybrid mesh security vision. It strengthens the Infinity Platform's open-garden approach, enabling seamless, multi-vendor remediation across the entire security stack. With Veriti, we're advancing preemptive, prevention-first security - an imperative in today's AI-driven threat landscape."

Upon completion of the acquisition, Veriti's capabilities will be integrated into Check Point's Infinity Platform as part of its threat exposure and risk management offering. This integration will offer automated, cross-vendor virtual patching for swift, non-disruptive protection across third-party tools, along with real-time threat intelligence enforcement for security across firewalls, endpoints, and cloud platforms.

The platform will also allow for seamless integration with an ecosystem of over 70 vendors, stronger synergy with Wiz for cloud exposure insights, and safe and context-aware threat remediation. Adi Ikan, Veriti's co-founder and CEO, commented, "Today's security teams face a 'lack of action' as exposures hide in the gaps between tools, teams, and timelines. By joining Check Point, we're accelerating our mission to help organizations reduce their exposure faster through the security tools they already trust."

The transaction is expected to close by the end of Q2 2025, subject to customary closing conditions. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Check Point's acquisition of Veriti Cybersecurity will fortify its businesses by integrating Veriti's preemptive exposure management tools into its Infinity Platform, specifically its threat exposure and risk management offering. This integration will empower Check Point's platform to provide automated, cross-vendor virtual patching, real-time threat intelligence enforcement, and seamless integration with over 70 vendors, aiming to help organizations swiftly and non-disruptively secure their assets in the evolving AI-driven threat landscape of finance and technology.
