Unveiling Emmanuel Macron's Swanky New Ride 🎉

On the 8th of May, a Talk-of-the-Town moment occurred as President Emmanuel Macron cruised down the Champs-Élysées in his fabulous new set of wheels, the DS8. This stylish SUV-sedan hybrid had been Macron's secret ride until now, making its grand entrance during the military parade honoring the 80th anniversary of the Allies' victory.

Before this, the Head Honcho of France had been hopping around in a DS7 since 2021. But he spiced things up during last year's 14th of July parade by hopping into a swanky Renault Rafale.

This baby's unique selling proposition? Macron's rolling office is now a 100% electric vehicle, a first for French presidential cars. With its impressive features, it won't be losing any style points.

This luxe chariot has been personally dolled up by some of France's finest engineers and craftspeople. Despite being manufactured across the Alps in Italy, the DS8 underwent modifications to meet the Élysée's criteria.

The illuminated grille gleams in a tricolor hue, a refreshing take on the iconic French flag design. Meanwhile, the interior sports some super-stylish upgrades, thanks to collaborations with Métaphores for satin panels, Ateliers Lison de Caunes for intricate straw marquetry, and Atelier Lognon for the design of the pleated fabrics adorning the rear doors. Not to mention, the DS8 boasts top-notch armor courtesy of Centigon, leaders in the art of armored vehicles. Lastly, its eco-friendly ACC battery, churned out at the Pas-de-Calais Gigafactory, delivers an astounding range of 750 kilometers.

Hitting the market in September, the DS8 (regular, unarmored version) won't come cheap, costing around 60,000 euros for the base model. The presidential model will make an appearance from the 21st to the 25th of May at the Grand Palais during the next Révélations showcase.

Now, this isn't your run-of-the-mill ride. The DS8 is packed with advanced electric technology, French flair, and bespoke touches designed for Macron's high-profile role. If you're hankering for more details about the security and technical enhancements, stay tuned!

By the way, fun fact: the DS8's powerful electric drivetrain and nearly 100 kWh battery capacity ensure excellent performance and a staggering range of up to 750 kilometers on a single charge. Sounds perfect for those late-night meetings at the Élysée, don't you think? 😉
