Enhanced Security Measures at Lord Jagannath's Srimandir in Puri, Odisha: Installation of Anti-Drone Defense System

The Srimandir temple, the abode of Lord Jagannath in Puri, Odisha, is set to enhance its security measures with the deployment of an advanced anti-drone system. This decision was finalized during a high-level review meeting, chaired by Central Range DIG Dr. Satyajit Naik, and attended by senior police officers, including superintendents of police (SPs) from seven districts.

The anti-drone system, scheduled for deployment during the upcoming festive season, will create an electronic shield around the temple, preventing any unauthorized drones from flying over the Srimandir and its vicinity. It will neutralize drone signals within its range, instantly rendering drones inoperative.

The system will also formalize a no-flying zone around the 12th-century shrine, ensuring that no drones can breach the sanctity or compromise the safety of the Srimandir temple. The area around the shrine has been declared a potential 'no-fly zone' by the state police.

The anti-drone system is part of a larger master plan for securing the Srimandir temple during festivals. The government's plan includes strengthening security during these occasions to ensure the smooth conduct of religious activities and the safety of devotees.

It's important to note that the search results do not provide information about the manufacturer of the anti-drone system to be deployed in Bhubaneswar. Additionally, the meeting did not discuss any specific reforms related to the Goods and Services Tax (GST) or any cash put into the common man's hands related to the anti-drone system deployment or GST reforms. The meeting focused solely on law-and-order preparedness for the upcoming festive season.

This move is a significant step towards ensuring the security and safety of one of India's most revered religious sites, the Srimandir temple. The anti-drone system will undoubtedly contribute to maintaining the sanctity and peace of the temple during the festive season.
