In an upcoming comedy-drama movie titled "Artificial", Elon Musk is depicted in a notably unflattering and satirical manner. Ike Barinholtz, an Emmy-nominated actor, takes on the role of Musk, who is portrayed as both comic relief and a villainous figure.

The film, directed by Luca Guadagnino and written by Simon Rich, centres around the 2023 leadership crisis at OpenAI. Sam Altman, played by Andrew Garfield, serves as the CEO, while co-founder Ilya Sutskever is also a key character. Musk's role in the film is part of a broader satirical look at Silicon Valley power dynamics and tech industry turmoil, with other major tech figures also making appearances.

The script reportedly portrays Musk with sharp criticism, referring to him as a "dictator," and highlighting his controversial role as a co-founder of OpenAI who later became one of its most vocal critics. This portrayal may not be approved by Musk himself and is likely to provoke discomfort among tech leaders.

Elon Musk, worth an estimated $415 billion according to Forbes, owns about 12% of Tesla and 42% of SpaceX. He has been a frequent figure on the small screen, having hosted "Saturday Night Live" in 2021 and being parodied by Mike Myers during his tenure. Musk has also expressed his opinions about "SNL", stating that it hasn't been funny in a long time and that it has been "dying slowly for years". He further criticised Dana Carvey's portrayal as being "out of touch with reality".

Recent reports suggest that Chloe Fineman, a cast member, found Musk to be "rude" on set and claims that he made her cry. Musk's interactions with the cast and crew of "Artificial" remain unverified.

"Artificial" is set to be a compelling exploration of the tech industry's power dynamics, with Elon Musk's portrayal serving as a mirror to the tensions and conflicts within the tech industry surrounding OpenAI's leadership crisis.
